In the season premiere, when Brenda's squad investigates a quadruple murder, she accidentally lands in the middle of an FBI investigation. LEE TERGENSEN ("Oz") guest stars.

The apparent kidnapping of a rich financier under investigation for ripping off investors leads Brenda's squad to think he may have staged his own abduction.

Sgt. Gabriel shoots a murder suspect he's certain is armed, but his account doesn't match the evidence. Capt. Sharon Raydor (MARY McDONNELL - "Battlestar Galactica") investigates.

Walking Back The Cat,

Brenda and Fritz work together when a case turns into a murder investigation involving drug trafficking at gay dance parties. But Brenda's tactics aren't quite FBI protocol.

A former gang banger's murder leads Brenda to Father Jack (MARK ROLSTON - "Cold Case"), a community leader in a neighborhood upset with the LAPD. Brenda must rectify the situation.

Brenda's team investigates the shooting death of a popular online "hook-up king." Pope does a rotation as a member of Brenda's squad to get a firsthand look at how the team works.

A shootout leaves two cops and a teenage neo-Nazi dead, with lots of unanswered questions as to what happened and who else might have been involved. MARY McDONNELL guest stars.

Elysian Fields,

A man is murdered who, 10 years ago, was the lead suspect in the murder of two girls. TOM SKERRITT ("Picket Fences") guest stars as a detective who comes out of retirement to help.

Identity Theft,

A confessed murderer gets details of the crime wrong during his allocution, causing Brenda to reopen the case. SOSIE BACON (Sedgwick's daughter) guest stars as Brenda's niece.

Smells Like Murder,

A box with a body stuffed inside leads Brenda in search of suspects. Meanwhile, Brenda's niece (SOSIE BACON) pulls a stunt so severe that Brenda and Fritz want to send her home.

Maternal Instincts,

A shooting in a school parking lot leaves one person dead, another person critically wounded and a car loaded with marijuana.

Waivers Of Extradition,

XANDER BERKELEY ("24") is a Texas detective investigating a similar crime to one in LA. Brenda's dad (BARRY CORBIN) arrives to take Charlie (SOSIE BACON). KEVIN BACON directs.

The squad investigates the death of a 12-year-old boy whose father and brother are both gang members. Meanwhile, Fritz brings home a surprise for Brenda.

Several old cases come up for review, including one Provenza closed years ago with his former partner, Detective Andrews (guest star BEAU BRIDGES - "The Fabulous Baker Boys").
