Joan, who hasn't had sex in a year, decides to have a one-night stand with handsome restaurateur Davis.

Joan, Toni, and Lynn decide to find dates on the Internet. When Joan meets Marcus she thinks he is too good to be true until she finds out he wears a girdle. Toni breaks it off with her date simply because he's too black.

I Pity The Fool,

Joan's new boyfriend Marcus has been moving a bit too fast and she realizes her heart was not in the relationship in the first place.

With Maya and Joan becoming close friends, Toni becomes jealous and feels she's losing her best friend.

The Importance of Being Frank,

Joan starts dating her client's very attractive accountant Keith, only to be stalked by his estranged wife.

Joan learns that Maya's husband may be cheating on her and must face whether or not it's a good idea to tell her friend. Toni dates a City Councilman who can help further her career.

Maya and her partner Darnell decide they want to renew their vows and have a formal wedding ceremony. Joan offers to help with the event and to have it at her home.

On a holiday that emphasizes togetherness, Joan struggles with feelings of loneliness and separation on Thanksgiving.

Joan's new boyfriend Sean has not made a move on her after three weeks of dating and she is beginning to wonder why.

Joan begins to question her relationship with Sean when he gives her a power drill for Valentine's and doesn't hear from him for three days.

Joan decides it is time to give in on her three-month rule and she is finally going to have sex with her boyfriend Sean.

The Declaration of Lynndependence,

Joan and Toni decide that Lynn needs to learn to be independent. They give her a week to find a job, then she is on her own.

Joan discovers that being the only black woman at her firm has many disadvantages and she is constantly ignored and overlooked.

Maya checks into the hospital for her fibroid surgery and Joan has trouble managing her time between her boyfriend and her friends.

The Burning Vagina Monologues,

Joan is stressing because Sean hasn't told her that he loves her.

A Kiss Before Lying,

Sean notices that Joan always flirts with Davis. He gets jealous and tells Joan that she can never see Davis again or go back to 847.

Loose Lips Sink Relationships,

Joan opens her mouth and tells Greg about Toni and Clay.

Joan takes the girls to the Sinbad Music Festival to help ease Toni to get over her breakup with Greg.
