From Blackpool's Tower Ballroom comes a rich collection of the curious and the valuable, from a silver spade used to dig the first sod of a new sewage works to a priceless pocket watch and a rare 18th-century plaque.

The nave of Lincoln Cathedral is the setting for the first of the new series when the familiar team of experts uncover rare silver, furniture and ceramics, leavened with a rich variety of toys, dolls and objets d'art brought by local people.

From Blackpool's Tower Ballroom comes a rich collection of the curious and the valuable, from a silver spade used to dig the first sod of a new sewage works to a priceless pocket watch and a rare 18th-century plaque.

An original Chippendale side table, a portrait by a famous 20th-century artist, the rarest of ceramic figures, and a very special silver box - they all add up to a particularly good haul when the Roadshow visits Paignton in Devon.

A travelling bar and an amusing mechanical rabbit - just two of the more unusual articles to turn up among the antiques at Elgin in Scotland.

Elsinore Castle in Denmark is the setting for the first foray into Europe. The team is joined by Danish and Swedish experts for an edition full of family treasures: from ceramics, continental furniture, toys, collectables, paintings to works of art.

Fine paintings of Hereford cattle turn up appropriately enough, when the experts visit the country town of Leominster in Herefordshire.

In Manchester Town Hall the experts inspect locally made furniture, a clock with a disc musical box and an example of the latest in high-priced collectables: the wristwatch.

Tunbridge Wells,

French 18th-century snuff boxes, a Colt revolver and a pair of Chippendale library armchairs. From Royal Tunbridge Wells.

An elephant-shaped money box, a bear holding an umbrella stand, three dragons chasing pearls round a large cloisonne vase, and a surprisingly valuable owl called Ozzie give a naturalistic flavour to this edition from the Demgate Centre, Northampton.

Sevres plates with false marks, a silver dachshund with a detachable head, and an early chest-on-chest ingeniously cut in half to fit a house, a rich mixture of treasures shown to the experts when they visit Hornchurch in Essex.

In the last of the series the experts visit the Corn Exchange, Brighton, to see a group of Meissen figures, a china cat with a good pedigree and an unusual drop-leaf spider table.
