Jack and Janet find a new roommate after Cindy moves off to dormitory life at nearby UCLA. She's Terri Alden, an emergency room nurse who starts off on the wrong foot with Jack in this sixth-season opener.

Jack Bares All (Part 2),

Larry has made his choice for a new roommate and Jack and Larry begin devising a plan to get rid of Terri.

Terri Makes Her Move,

To boost Jack's confidence, Terri turns on the charm, causing Janet to suspect that her new roommate's interest in Jack is more than platonic.

Professor Jack,

Terri thinks an attractive older woman's visit to Jack are weekly lessons in lovemaking and, in disgust, decides to move out.

Some of That Jazz,

Terri and Jack believe that Janet will have to make it with her dance instructor if she wants to make it as a dancer.

Lies My Roommate Told Me,

Jack breaks a date with Janet to coach a nervous Larry, who's hoping to romance Terri with a smooth conversation.

Two Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest,

Jack and Janet mistake Terri's psychiatric friend for an escapee from a hospital psychiatric ward.

Eyewitness Blues,

A plainclothes cop moves in to protect Jack whose life is in danger after witnessing an armed robbery at the flower shop.

Boy Meets Dummy,

Jack must come up with a "wife" to persuade his boss's man-hungry daughter that he's not available.

Dates of Wrath,

Janet fumes when she inadvertently fixes up Terri with a guy she wanted to date herself.

Jack tries to subdue a drunk at the Regal Beagle, but it's Terri who takes care of the masher with her karate skills.

Strangers in the Night,

The Matchbreakers,

Larry devises an acid test to see if Furley's latest find is actually a gold-digger.

Jack panics when he suspects Terri's friend wants to give up her life as a nun and marry him.

The trio reluctantly take on former roommate Cindy as their cleaning woman.

A fault-finding efficiency expert drives Janet to quit her job at the flower shop.

To avoid a woman's angry boyfriend, Jack joins his roommates for a weekend on a farm owned by Cindy's Aunt Becky.

A Friend in Need,

Jack subs for the chef at Angelino's restaurant, where a mobster is so impressed with the bill of fare that he insists Jack be made permanent chef.

Jack adopts a new image and changes his career plans to please an affluent woman who'd like to marry him.

Doctor in the House,

Jack pretends he's a doctor to impress his visiting grandfather, who's eager to observe Jack's hospital practice.

Critic's Choice,

Jack challenges a famous food critic to sample his cuisine, aiming for a favorable review in his newspaper column.

Terri lines up a fancy new house for the trio to move into but Larry and Mr. Furley, not wanting to see their best friends leave, plot to make them feel wanted enough to stay.

And Now, Here's Jack,

Jack becomes a hit with TV viewers when he botches a cooking demonstration promoting Angelino's restaurant.

Janet Wigs Out,

Janet buys a blonde wig and is so taken with her new image that she alienates her roommates, Furley, and a new neighbor as well.

Jack agrees to be Janet's date at a stuffy, formal party. After taking an invigorating drink, he becomes the life of the party, embarrassing Janet and causing a shambles. Guest Star(s): Barry Williams

After a happily-married computer-matched couple sells Jack on the merits of computer dating, the fun begins when Jack secretly signs up.
