While the rest of the family resides in England, Danny and Dup work at Big Five wild animal park to raise money for a new property after losing Leopard's Den.

Caroline, Liv, and Charlotte are keen to see their new home, Clearwater Farm. Their excitement turns to dismay when they discover the place is in ruin.

Danny finds a potential financial lifeline in a pharmaceutical company looking to fund an environmental project, but Ed Lynch is competing for the same grant.

When a controlled brush fire spirals out of control and a cheetah is injured, Caroline helps Lynch operate on the animal.

Caroline's loyalty to Dup estranges the pair from the rest of the family.

When Danny is imprisoned for the murder of Peeters, Dup sets out to prove his innocence. Ed's suspicious behavior makes Dup think he's harboring a dark secret.

When a beautiful new vet turns up at the clinic and claims to have a lion that carries the rare Barbary gene, Dup suspects she has an ulterior motive.

Everyone is surprised when Fiona arrives, claiming to be Ed's wife and seeking to reconcile the differences that led to their earlier separation.

As the Trevanion family's financial woes continue, Danny and Ed are refused an extension on their mortgage.
