For newcomer Tsubasa, soccer is life. Soon he meets Ryo, who has it out with goalie Genzo, and decides to battle the master keeper himself.

Victory slips through Genzo’s fingers; Tsubasa is taunted. Observing, former Brazilian pro player Roberto offers to train Tsubasa and his team.

A New Beginning For Nankatsu Soccer Club,

With the tournament on the horizon, Roberto surprises Tsubasa with a game against Nishigaoka Elementary to find Nankatsu Elementary’s weaknesses.

Roberto is thrilled to hear about Tsubasa’s pro-soccer dreams, but his smile is hiding something. Thankfully, Tsubasa gives Roberto new purpose.

On Their Way To The Inter-School Tournament,

With the tournament almost here, Nankatsu Elementary analyzes rival team Shutetsu Elementary. Meanwhile, the ever-resentful Genzo trains alone.

Kickoff! Nankatsu vs. Shutetsu,

Taro Misaki, a soccer prodigy, arrives in Nankatsu to find a dueling Tsubasa and Genzo. But even Taro is amazed at Tsubasa’s talent.

The battle between Nankatsu and Shutetsu rages on. Genzo’s team controls the ball, and Taro replaces Ryo, forming an unstoppable duo with Tsubasa.

A Debonair Ending,

Nankatsu manages to tie before Tsubasa and Genzo seal the deal with a shake. Next are the playoffs. But who will qualify?

Kojiro Appears,

The players selected for the prefectural tournament have been revealed, but Hyuga, captain of Meiwa FC, challenges Genzo.

A Surprisingly Difficult Match,

Nankatsu SC faces the impenetrable Shimada SC. Neither Tsubasa nor Misaki manage to advance to the goal, and all under the pouring rain.

Crushing Wakabayashi,

In the prefectorial tournament, Shimizu FC conspires to beat Nankatsu SC by taking down Genzo, who’s more than willing to put it all on the line.

The National Tournament Begins!,

Nankatsu SC defeats Shimizu FC, qualifying for the National Tournament with Tsubasa as captain. First up is Meiwa FC, led by the mighty Hyuga.

Burn Nankatsu To Beat Meiwa,

The National Tournament unfolds as Hyuga strikes fear into Nankatsu SC’s keeper with a huge header into goal. Can goalie Morisaki recoup?

I Won't Lose My Dream,

Goalie Morisaki regains his confidence as the team heads to a tie. It’s captain versus captain and goals galore.

Acrobatic Soccer,

Tournament day three. Awaiting Nankatsu is Hanawa FC and the infamous Tachibana Twins.

The Battle In The Air,

Nankatsu SC has to win to qualify, but Hanawa FC manages to keep up with a fearsome defense. To score, Tsubasa will have to think fast.

Let's Go! The Decisive Tournament,

It’s the semifinals as Nankatsu SC faces Naniwa FC and their terrifying goalie, Nakanishi. Will he fade before Tsubasa’s shooting power?

Meiwa vs. Furano,

Furano FC captain Matsuyama has a warning for Hyuga, who’s hit with a penalty. Enter the match’s new player, Meiwa FC’s secret weapon.

Musashi's Secret Plan,

Misugi’s illness and Musashi FC’s talent drain Tsubasa’s enthusiasm for the match. Misugi, however, is annoyed and tries to change his mind.

The Ace of Glass,

Misugi fences Tsubasa in and thwarts his effort to score. With the help of Genzo, Roberto, and Misaki, Tsubasa manages to fend off his doubts.

Extra Time Of Destiny,

As the match against Musashi FC concludes, Nankatsu SC catches up, pushing the game into overtime. It’s do or die. Can they defeat Misugi?

The Star Goakleeper Returns,

It’s the tournament final with once again Nankatsu SC vs. Meiwa FC. Tsubasa and Hyuga are back at it, but this time Genzo defends the goal.

Tenacity, Definitely Tenacity,

Meiwa FC changes their game: Hyuga finally becomes a team player, making the situation extremely difficult for Tsubasa and his teammates.

Blazing Counter Attack,

With minutes left, Meiwa FC pulls ahead. The situation for Nankatsu SC is critical: if they can’t tie the game, they'll be out of the tournament.

It’s overtime, and everyone’s exhausted. Tsubasa makes his Curl Shot and then the whistle sounds.
