The people of Islington in north London bring their treasures to Roadshow, where the familiar team of experts encounter surprising extremes - from a chocolate Easter egg from the 1940s, to jewelled eggs by the great Russian jeweller Faberge.

You might expect the railway town of Darlington to produce fine model trains, but perhaps not a pair of wonderful 19th-century library globes.

Merthyr Tydfil,

In Merthyr Tydfil the experts find a most unusual tea set and an important painting by the Irish artist Jack Yeats.

There's a rich crop of valuables in this edition from Stowmarket in Suffolk. There's English delftware and glass from the 18th century; a fine watercolour by Frederick Cotman from the late 19th century.

In Hexham, Northumberland, the experts discuss a fine collection of Japanese porcelain and works of art and a valuable 20th-century German painting with Cubist influences. And Hugh Scully sets another competition question.

Forgotten treasures are discovered at St Ives, Cambridgeshire, when an artist's sketchbook from an attic is identified as the work of a well known Belgian painter and worth thousands.

Both very old objects and relatively new ones turn up when the experts visit Ayr in Scotland. An 18th-century spinet and a pair of early Derby dishes contrast with a 1930s Susie Cooper coffee set and an early electric mantle clock.

Salisbury Cathedral is the setting for a feast of antiques, from the valuable to the simply curious, with rare seasoning from a set of the finest salt cellars ever seen on the show.

The experts travel to Valletta in Malta. There's fine furniture, painting, local silver and pottery found in St Paul's Bay, probably dumped from a Roman galleon. Introduced by Hugh Scully.

In Whitehaven, Cumbria, chairs rescued from a bonfire and salvaged tiles make their owner's day.

From Stafford, where it's a good day for ceramics furniture, painting, clocks and the finest scientific instrument yet seen on the show is discovered.
