Tasha falls for a new man, Reynaldo, who turns out to be a male escort. Meanwhile, Melanie, in the spirit of fostering a friendship with Janay, throws a dinner party for her and her new man, Noah.

Malik has an epiphany upon returning to his hometown of Richmond. Tasha is reunited with Pookie, who helps her reconnect with her mother, Gladys.

An unhappy Melanie does some soul searching and concludes that she wants to finish her residency at John Hopkins.

While Melanie is away interviewing for a residency position at Johns Hopkins in D.C., Derwin does everything he can to avoid returning to an empty home.
