In March 2003, Ramona Krotine left an office party and was never seen alive again. 24 hours later, she was found in the trunk of her car, beaten and shot to death. At first, police suspected a botched robbery but later believed her husband was to blame.

In 1976, Deborah Gardner, a Peace Corps worker, was murdered while on assignment in the South Pacific island nation of Tonga. Dennis Priven, a 24-year-old fellow Peace Corps worker, who appeared to be obsessed with Gardner, was charged by Tongan police.

In July 1957 Richard Phillips and Milton Curtis, two California police officers on a routine stop, were gunned down by a man who had just committed robbery and rape nearby. Investigators searched for over 45 years for the man who murdered two of their own.

Where's Our Baby?,

In November 1997, Marlene and Steve Aisenberg reported their five-month-old daughter Sabrina missing from her crib. Police soon focused on the parents as authorities became convinced that they knew more about the baby’s disappearance than they admitted.

Beyond the Boardwalk,

A report on the deaths of four women: Tracy Ann Roberts, Kim Raffo, Barbara Briedor, and Molly Jean Dilts, all suspected prostitutes and/or drug addicts. They were all found on November 20, 2006, in a ditch near the Golden Key Motel in Atlantic City, NJ.

In May of 2004, Bill McGuire’s dismembered body was found in three suitcases in Chesapeake Bay. He had been shot with a .38 caliber gun. His wife Melanie claimed that Bill had vanished weeks before, after an argument.

In 2002, dancer Catherine Woods went to New York in search of fame but became a stripper to pay the rent. She started seeing Paul Cortez while living with her ex-boyfriend David Haughn. In November 2005, she was murdered. The two men became suspects.

The owners of St. Rita's Nursing Home in St. Bernard Parish, La., are charged with negligent homicide after 35 residents died in the flood waters of Hurricane Katrina.

In 1998, police in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin were called to the home of Mark and Julie Jensen. Mark said he had found his wife dead in her bed. But a letter written by Julie before her death expressed her suspicion that Mark might kill her.
