John enters the diner from Reggie's apartment, trying to sneak out.

Do The Right Thing,

Now that Reggie is gone, John tells Chris he has feelings for her (Chris).

John sits on his fire escape, smoking a cigar, the smoke from which is wafting into Chris's open window directly above.

And The Heartbeat Goes On,

As John and Jake chat about Chris at the diner, Bob rushes in and announces that he just saw Chris naked when he went to fix her faucet.

The Grand Gesture,

Becker has a videotape of a French film that he plans to use to lure Chris into coming over to his place.

Becker tries to discourage a friend from expressing interest in Chris by telling him that she is gay.

Blind Injustice,

At the diner, Chris is in the kitchen when a robber enters.

Once Upon A Time,

At the office, Margaret reveals to Linda that it's her ten-year anniversary of working for Dr. Becker.

At the diner, John expresses his repulsion for all the Christmas decorations.

Pain In The Neck,

Becker is upset when a patient substitutes his Christian Science faith for medical treatment.

Bad To The Bone,

One of John's patients, a high school student named Brad, comes in for a physical and John learns that the guy's being sexually active, but isn't practicing safe sex. John performs an HIV test on Brad and tries to convince him to begin practicing safe sex.

John helps his elderly neighbor, Mrs. Firth, get into her apartment and she repays him by making homemade chicken noodle soup.

I’ve Got Friends I Haven’t Used Yet,

Bob is distraught because a thirty-something guy at his gym died while on the treadmill, and he's certain that he's headed for the same fate.

Thanks For Not Smoking,

When a customer leaves the diner because of John's cigarette smoke, Chris puts her foot down and tells him that it is now a "smoke-free" restaurant.

Amanda Moves Out,

John arrives at the diner and announces that he has quit smoking.

John walks into the diner and sees Chris, Bob, and Jake standing around a booth.

Chris' ex-husband, Roger, is in town and comes to the diner to see her.

Mr. & Mrs. Conception,

The fire marshal threatens to fine Chris for a faulty sprinkler system at the diner, but Chris flirts her way out of it.

Day Dream Believer,

John has a dream that he and Chris kissed each other. At the office, Linda is late and tells Margaret it's because her cab got hit by a runaway hotdog cart.
