Emily is saved from arrest by Nicole, a local, and the two travel to a Resistance stronghold in the Alps.

Faith is appalled to learn that the planned revolt is actually a simple diversion.

Rex goes into hiding, unaware that Stuckler will order reprisals if he is not recaptured.

Twenty villagers from Courmont are killed in reprisal for Rex. Emily knows the uprising must be aborted.

Having forced Sylvie to tell him of the setup at Le Crest, Stuckler shoots her and her mother.

Renard, angered by the perceived lack of Allied support, orders Philippe, Virginia and Nicole to be shot.

German paratroopers swarm all over Le Crest, forcing the Maquis into hiding in the woods.
