As a Mother's Day promotion, Edna's suggestion of providing free childcare in the store turns out to be a big success. Bannister is left with a small problem though. A child who refuses to speak has been left behind.

When Bannister discovers Viker has been kicked out of his house and is now sleeping on the couch in his office. Bannister offers to let Viker stay with them.

Howard starts to experience bad luck after breaking a chain letter.
