The Umpire Strikes Back,

Marlene reverts to a stuttering timid child when her father returns for a visit. Bannister decides to give them both advice.

Hey, Take Me Over,

When Cobb's is taken over by a huge conglomerate that also owns a famous hotel chain, Bannister has visions of becoming the manager of a luxury resort.

Marlene finds herself the object of a secret admirer who leaves her flowers and love notes. At the same time, Bannister starts giving advice to Derek, the young bag boy who might be in over his head.

I'm Okay, You're a Spy,

Bannister learns that the new owners have sent out a corporate spy to infiltrate Cobb's and warns the staff to be on guard. The result is an atmosphere of paranoia as everyone suspects each other of spying.

Not for Commercial Use,

When Bannister learns Cobb's is to be featured on an investigative news program, he gets excited at the thought of being seen on television coast-to-coast. The trouble happens when the show writer decides she doesn't want him to be seen.

There is a new Cobb's store about to open and Christian and Edna have both been selected as potential managers. Bannister is convinced Edna doesn't have a chance so he secretly endorses Christian.

He's No Heavy, He's My Brother,

Bannister receives a call from his long-lost brother, George, and learns he's planning to visit. Due to poor word choice, Bannister's under the impression his brother is dying.

Mutiny on Mr. Christian,

Bannister puts Christian in charge of Cobbs while he goes on vacation. Christian makes life so miserable for the rest of the staff, they snitch when Bannister gets back.

Bannister & Dale,

One of Cobb's favourite customers is Mr. Dale, an old vaudville comic. When Mr. Dale reveals his retirement home will close unless money is raised, Bannister gives him a job at Cobb's.

Shrink from Sendrax,

While showing his children's birthday party routine to Edna, TC arrives at Cobb's with a corporate psychiatrist.

The Naked Truth,

Marlene is approached by a writer for 'Women of the World' magazine, who wants to interview her. Bannister tries to convince her not to do it when it's revealed that Marlene must pose nude!

Howard Hemingway,

Bannister gets the notion that he can make money by writing a romance novel, so he locks himself in the office to write it. To gain sales, he puts the advertises it in the supermarket.

Edna, Howard, Cathy & Morty,

Edna learns her good friend will be in town to talk about her recent marriage. Cathy has only good things to say which makes Edna scared that her own relationship is failing.

Marlene for Hire,

Marlene's friendship with a young couple seems to be blossoming into something more. They want her to be their surrogate mother and she agrees.

Make Room for Daddy Christian,

Marlene introduces Christian to her friend Barbara and the two of them have an instant attraction to each other. He is shocked to learn that Barbara has a 10-year-old son. Bannister is planning on hosting a circus.

My Hero, Mr. Bannister,

Derek the bagboy has a special admiration for Bannister. Everythings going well until it's we learn that he plans on working at Cobb's forever in order to become the next Howard Bannister.

Fatal Harassment,

Bannister hires a new cashier at Cobb's. She takes a special liking to Bannister and one night while they're alone, she grabs him and kisses him. Bannister learns Kim has made a practice of suing her former bosses.

Bannister is approached by the local Businessmen's Association to run in the upcoming election for city councilman.

When Leslie announces that he will be attending a seminar for potential investors, he asks Bannister to go with him. Bannister, willing to do anything to miss the Opera with Edna, reluctantly agrees.

Smotherly Love,

Christian asks Bannister for a favour when he learns that his mother is coming for a surprise visit.

Educating Leslie,

Leslie is excited by the news that he has won an audition for a famous acting school. He hires a famous actress to coach him but is shocked to find his coach drunk and hopeless.

Memories may be a beautiful thing but the staff at Cobb's find themselves wishing to forget some of their past mistakes for the 50th anniversary of Cobb's.
