This is one absolutely bland, beige and boring master. Sarah ups the comfort and romance factors, not before addressing moldy non-insulated closets, creaky, old wood floors, adding square footage and correcting a sharply slanted ceiling. If this is where the person paying the mortgage sleeps, let their dreams be sweet!

After the kitchen, bathrooms are the most important and expensive renovations in the home. At Sarah’s House both family and basement baths give way to the wrecking ball; one becomes a showcase combination for the master. A sense of drama comes via a heightened doorway and new set of stairs. Modern touches such as glass stair rails, skylights, front window and revamped fireplace create the illusion of space and bring this entire room into today!
