Kiss Me, Steph,

When Stephanie uses her new-found sexuality to campaign for the school presidency, her best friend questions her motivation and her methods. Meanwhile, Stephanie's younger brother Arthur is having difficulty adjusting to grade seven.

Voula disobeys her Old World father and sneaks out to the school dance. But when Stephanie gets too drunk to deliver her speech, Voula has to take over, risking exposure of her deception.

The Experiment,

Feeling unfairly treated by Mr. Raditch, Yick puts his name on an old paper of Stephanie's to test his teacher's response. Meanwhile, Joey sells phony drugs to Melanie and Kathleen.

Rick, the school tough guy, is a loner who rarely speaks to anyone. When Joey visits Rick's home, he is horrified to discover that his new friend's bruises are inflicted by his own father. Joey wants to help but doesn’t want to betray Rick's confidence.

The Great Race,

Responding to sexist taunts, the girls' swim team challenges the boys' soccer team to a battle of the sexes. But when star swimmer Melanie gets teased about her first bra, she pulls out of the race.

Whispered stories about Caitlin's favorite teacher, Ms. Avery, hint that she is a lesbian. Troubled by the accusations and by doubts about her own sexuality, Caitlin confronts Ms. Avery, who helps her understand that rumors never tell the whole story.

Nothing to Fear,

When LD.'s father is suddenly taken to the hospital, LD. Is terrified that she will lose him, as she lost her mother. Meanwhile, Melanie has to confront her own unfounded fear when a snake gets loose in school.

Rick, a poor student and loner at Degrassi, joins a committee in order to get to know Caitlin. Despite an unfriendly welcome from Kathleen, Caitlin supports Rick and they work together on a successful project.

At one of Lucy's parties, Spike and Shane lock themselves in a bedroom, where one thing leads to another. When her period is late, Spike has to confront the consequences of her actions.

Parents' Night,

When Wheels' real father shows up out of the blue, he must deal with his feelings about his adoptive parents, his birth parents and his own identity. Spike confirms that she is pregnant, and she approaches Wheels for advice on the option of abortion.

To make Wheels jealous, Stephanie, the school president, appoints Joey as the Sports Rep., even though the post is supposed to be held by a seventh grader. As a result, the seventh grade class wants to impeach her.
