Jim Bowie’s friend Justinian Tebbs is mistaken for a fugitive from justice. The error leads to a chase. Neither Jim nor Justy knows that the fugitive is a real killer with the U.S. Army after him.

When a renegade American, now a Mexican Army officer, plots to kill Bowie because he’s a friend of Sam Houston, Bowie is detained on pretext of lacking a passport to Texas.
